The "Block Captains" and Coordinator are your link to the program, as relates to receiving alerts from the JCC Police. If they determine the need to alert the Community for some reason, Officer McDowell (or his representative) will hand-deliver a written copy of the 'alert' to our Neighborhood Watch Coordinator. He, in turn, will pass the exact information on to the "Block Captains" for transmittal to all the homes on their block.

If you determine that a situation requires an immediate police response, call 911 directly! While the Police do not encourage frivolous calls, they would rather you err on the side of safety. When and if time allows and the situation dictates, pass on the concern to your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain.

The JCC Police have the enhanced 911 system, which enables the 911 operator to automatically identify the telephone number, address, and listed occupant at the residence from which the 911 call is being placed. This can be extremely valuable in the instance where dialing or "pushing the red button" is possible, yet no message is passed (as might be the case with a small child or injured party). If you have further questions, contact your "Block Captain".

No Trespassing After Dark at Recreation Site

Parents and young people alike are reminded that there exists a NO TRESPASSING AFTER DARK policy at our Recreation Site. The only exceptions are for sanctioned PCSA events/activities as a private party reservation at the Clubhouse or Swimming Pool, a Swim Meet, or community social function. Residents (particularly neighbors abutting the Recreation Site property) observing what they believe to be an inappropriate activity are URGED to call the James City County Police to respond and take necessary action.
